DON'T LET ME DROWN

I see you in 3D, the dawn is bright for me
No more dark for me, I know You're watchin' me
Eighty degrees, burnin' up the leaves
Finally, I'm free, finally, I'm free
As I go out to sea, I can walk on water
Won't you shine Your light? Demons stuck on my shoulder
Father, hold me close, don't let me drown
I know You won't

Say what you will about Kanye West and his controversial antics, but something tells me he was aware of the P. Diddy scandal long before it reached the media. He seemed to have taken a fragile Justin Bieber—allegedly groomed by Diddy since his days as a young star—under his wing during his Donda/Sunday Service phase, at least for a short time. This was before Kanye himself went off the rails due to marriage complications and political ambitions that were less successful than his artistic endeavours.

The cracks are certainly beginning to show in the entertainment industry (and possibly political circles) of late following Diddy's arrest. It will be interesting to see whose reputations collapse like a house of cards and who remains standing after the dust settles from this ongoing illumination of darkness behind the crimson red curtains of show business.

Watching the clip below of Justin Bieber singing with Kanye's Sunday Service Choir in 2021, all standing in a circle, dressed in white, seems to symbolise a counter purification spell to ward off the evil that lurks in the music industry. Although Kanye routinely oscillates between embodying both a Blake-inspired angel and devil figure in both his life and art, at least in this moment right here, he appeared to be standing in solidarity with the clearly vulnerable Bieber.

We'll see who the devils and who the angels are as this ongoing drama unfolds. Unless of course, Diddy gets 'Epsteined' before he makes trial in which case the darkness of this whole murky business will prevail once more.
