FUTURE SOUNDS

Sometimes when I worry about what dystopian hell realm we soon might face with Artificial Intelligence I play YouTube fan edits of Ye's 'Future Sounds' to chill me out about the dreaded prospect.

There's a diamond in the rough quality to this one particular demo/remix track that has just the right amount of raw humanness balanced with sonic futurism that makes me believe we can take on all E.T./HAL/Zuckerclones with sheer sweaty, street-like resistance and break the bots using our collective will. I also find something totally irresistible about the fusing together of Ye's 'Future Sounds' with an earlier version of 'Heaven and Hell' (2:30) that would later find its way onto the iconic 'Donda' album of 2021 that seems to suggest we might be better off being Jedi masters than Wookiee slaves.

No more problems, no more argue
No more askin', "Who really arе you?"
I know the real you, you know we feel you
You know Hе hears you, you know we with you
Straight from Beirut, Chicago, Beirut
You cray? We cray too
You pray? We pray too
Never too late for Him to save you
This yo' movie 'cause no one can play you
Devil, lay down, Devil, lay down
This that level, make devils pray, now
